film Movement Collage (2020-2025) a small detail to show an impression of the concept and technique
A dream in fragments.
The film “Movement Collage” involves the creation of an intricate universe, merging distinct worlds through a blend of 16mm and Super 8 archival footage alongside original material. Employing collage techniques and stop-motion methods, the objective is to dissolve boundaries between these diverse media formats. This amalgamation aims to craft narratives that evoke unique stories using the chosen artistic techniques.
The film breathes in fragmentary sequences, a collage of memory and imagination. The hour that emerges is not a linear story, but a movement – a flow of images that reshapes itself again and again.
In space, the work unfolds as a triple projection. First one image appears, then another, then yet another. Slowly the room fills, echoing, like a carousel of visions. At a certain moment the projections dissolve – one by one – until only emptiness remains. And then the circle begins anew.
Sound and subtitles accompany this play of appearing and disappearing, drawing the viewer into a dream sequence that endlessly repeats itself.
