“Dirk & Bert” (2014) stands as a sonnet woven from the strands of loss, time’s ebb, and treasured memories plucked from the fabric of my family’s archive. Within the modest embrace of an A5 sketchbook, photographs metamorphose into collages, meticulously arranged and scanned, tracing an emotive pilgrimage across its pages. 

This book breathes life into textured narratives, where paper’s varied textures and nuanced transparency echo the elusive essence of memory. With each delicate leaf turned, a mosaic of moments unravels — an unintentional homage, meant as an ever-evolving reflection on the fluidity and immediacy of remembrance. 

These collages paint a procession of poignant images, an intimate revelation where each page turn unveils fleeting glimpses of beloved faces, akin to catching passing trains of thoughts. They dance as an ode to memory’s caprice, a personal saga inscribed in the ever-shifting hues of recollection.
